The 2017 NSATIS Swimming Carnival featured a top field of competitors from across the six Northern Independent schools with many fine individual and relay performances being a highlight. A total of 8 records were broken which is testament to the quality of athletes competing.

- St Patrick’s College Boys U/14 200 Medley Relay 2:10.61 – Angus Robertson , Jonte Adams , Will Hinds and Samuel Foley
- Marist Regional College Boys Open 200 m Medley Relay 2:00.74 – Patrick Roberts, Oliver Malley, Nicholas Plats and Mitchell Scott.
- Boys U/14 50 m freestyle 26.93 – Jonte Adams from St Patrick’s College
- Boys U/16 Breaststroke 32.25 – Jordan Cooper from St Patrick’s College
- Boys U/15 100 m freestyle 58.03 – Samuel Cullen from St Patrick’s College
- Boys Open 50 m backstroke 29.47 – Patrick Roberts from Marist Regional College
- St Patrick’s College Boys U/14 Freestyle Relay 1:55.56 – Jonte Adams, William Hinds, Angus Robertson and Samuel Foley
- Scotch Oakburn College Girls U/16 200 m freestyle Relay 2:05.49 – Dawson Howell, Zoe Neville, Layne De Jonge and Amy Halaby

St Patrick’s College continued their overall dominance in the pool by completing a clean sweep winning the 7 shields for the third year in a row.
Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Aggregate Boys, Aggregate Girls and Overall Aggregate.
Volunteers from the local swimming clubs, Swimming Tasmania and a large band of parents and staff from the participating schools worked together to make the whole day a great success.
