12 records broken at SSATIS Athletics

On a perfect Spring day in Hobart, 14 Independant Schools gathered at the Domain Athletic Centre to compete in the Southern SATIS Athletics Carnival. Students competed in an array of Track and Field events, with individual and relay results contributing to overall point scores. Guilford Young College took home all senior shields and The Friends’ School retained both Junior and Aggregate Co-Educational Shields. Mt Carmel edged out St Mary’s College to win the Girls Junior Shield and St Virgil’s College showed their consitency by taking home the Boys Junior Shield.. St Mary’s College and The Hutchins School won the Girls and Boys Aggregate Shields, respectively.

Benjamin Korotki (SVC) – Boys Under 15 400m, 52.18

Arielle Cannell (MCC) – Girls Under 14 Discus Throw (1kg), 36.89m

Bailey Van Den Broek (MCC) – Girls Under 14 High Jump, 1.57m

Violet Owen (TFS) – Girls Under 13 1500m, 4:49.38 / Girls Under 13 800m, 2:21.36

Marz Kwa (TFS) – Girls Under 13 400gm, 33.95m
