SATIS Independent School Football State Final – Saturday 23 June 2018
Boys 1st and 2nd XVIII, Hutchins WMO / Girls 1st XVI, St Patrick’s College

 The Boys Independent School Football Trophy dates back to 1963 and in 2018 the roster featured 4 competing Schools from across the state; The Hutchins School, Launceston Church Grammar School, St Patrick’s College and Scotch Oakburn College.

The state wide competition between the 4 schools has been held over a 6 week roster and on Saturday 23 June, the SATIS Grand Finals for Boys 1st and 2nd XVIII will be held at Hutchins WMO. The 2nd XVIII Grand Final between The Hutchins School and St Patrick’s College will commence at 11:30am.

The 1st XVIII Grand Final will be played at 1:30pm between The Hutchins School and Scotch Oakburn College. Hutchins earnt the right to play at home for the final after defeating Scotch Oakburn in the final roster match. Hutchins are making their first appearance in the 1st XVIII since 2015 and both teams go into the final at 1 all on head to head matches this season.

A number of boys taking the field on Saturday have played representative football for their region or the state and it is shaping up to be a very well contested match.

Girls State Final

The inaugural SATIS Girls State Football Final will be held on Saturday 23 June at St Patrick’s College at 10:00am.

The Grand final will be contested between St Patrick’s College and The Friends School. Both teams finished top of the ladder in both the Northern and Southern regional rosters, respectively.

The Northern roster featured 3 teams; Launceston Church Grammar School, Scotch Oakburn College and St Patrick’s College and the Southern roster 4 teams; St Michael’s Collegiate, Fahan School, Guilford Young College and The Friends’ School.
