Congratulations to all competitors, staff and officials for the excellent day we all had at Penguin Athletics Centre on Tuesday. Whilst St Patrick’s College dominated on they day – winning all 7 shields – the competition for age group pennants was much more closely contested. At one stage during the day there were four different schools in contention for the 10 pennants. However, at the completion of the relays the larger schools took home the extra points and the pennants were shared between Scotch Oakburn College and St Patrick’s College. The entry of the Launceston Christian School into the NSATIS Carnival added extra excitement with many of their students performing strongly.
Six records were broken on the day. Congratulations to:
Emma Potter (SPC) u/13 80 m hurdles 14.14 secs
Jack Colgrave (MRC) boys U/16 200m 23.16 secs
Jack Colegrave (MrC) boys U/16 100m 11.38 sec
